Beginning, Middle, and End

In the film Up, Carl is a young boy that meets Ellie and live life together until she dies and Carl depressed without children, a depressing beginning. In the middle Carl has met Russell and are at Paradise Falls on the attempt to put Carl's house on the cliff of Paradise Falls, in the middle. In the end, Carl and Russell put the house on Paradise falls and Russell get his patch for helping the elderly. In real life, this can be applied to grade school. In the beginning, I was a small child learning my basic knowledge in elementary school. In the middle can be middle school where i developed as a person. In the end, can be high school as my final years as a student in grade school coming the my completion of K-12.

Superior Position

Superior position is when the audience knows a conflict that the character on the screen doesn't. In the film, This Mean War, Reese Witherspoon is dating two guys and they don't know they are each other until the middle of he film. Then Witherspoon doesn't know that they two guys are best friends. In real life, it can be gossip of somebody having an affair in the relationship that he/she know about and the person getting cheated on in the relationship doesn't know. A movie can easily be made of this conflict involving conflict and drama.

Underserved Misfortune

Underserved misfortune is when a main character that the audience cares about get worse than what hey deserve. In the movie Up Ellie and Carl, the couple grow and mature and try to have a child, but Ellie is infertile and is depressed. Ellie and Carl continue life, but then Ellie dies of of unknown disease.    
Undeserved misfortune in real life can be when your beloved pet dies. This can be a movie when showed the impacted of the pet did to the owner's life and how it had changed them as a person. Showing the importance of companionship and somebody being there for you.

My Film Job

When we commence our production crews and film the film we are going to present, I would want to be the director. I want to be able to film the shots of the movie and choose how to film it. Putting my ideas on the film is what I would like to do. The other thing I would like to do is being the editor because I would like to see what  want in the film and what to take out, to make the film better taking consideration from others, if the choices I made are the ones for the better good of the film. This combination would be what I would like to have if the production crews are small. I would mind acting if i can get into the film.

Conflict

Conflict is a problem between two things. Well, in the movie Forrest Gump, Forrest Gump is against society most of the movie. Gump is a man below average when it comes down to intelligence, but he overcomes this by proving himself a great man. In real life a conflict can be man vs. himself. In reality I have to overcome myself from not doing work. I start to worry of the consequences of not doing the work and end up trying. This idea can be used in a movie, but the movie will not be interesting to the audience. There will not be enough conflict into the movie to keep the audience watching the movie.

My Review of the Elephant Man

The Elephant Man, directed by David Lynch, is an emotional film about the hardships of an unlucky man named John Merrick. John Merrick was a man with severe deformities, because of various diseases that he acquired since childhood. Merrick was brought back to a state where he could speak again without fear of what others will do. This film has shown that people who do not look like the ideal person are not freaks, but those who do not follow basic morality are the real freaks. Merrick, seriously malformed from head to toe, is a generous and humble man, who does not complain or is rude to anybody, even with all the nightmare like events that had happened to him throughout his life has changed this man, making him not a freak. But those who have abused Merrick both physically and physiologically are the real freaks in life.

My Name is John Merrick

Another day in the life, I have been showed off the the people as an animal, but when has not that happened? Am I an animal? Or are they? I did not deserve a life like the one I am in, I never asked for it. The cold air breezing against my face as Bytes shows me to the curious crowd. I can not even think of what goes on through their head. They all just look in shock from my face and body tumors, and they not even ask if I am happy. Will my life get any better as each day passes? Likely it will not, for I ca not change my figure or anything. I could end it here, just sleep like a NORMAL person. Should I? No, I am a normal person, the fact that the way that I look does not mean I am a monster. I am a respectful, and caring man. I AM NORMAL.

Welcome to my Nightmare

Once i was for into a deep sleep. I was strangely in my bed still asleep when I felt something breathing on my neck. I knew exactly what it was, but I did not want to confront the monster. Long and thin with pale white skin, with a long wide smile on its face. "Turn around", the monster said. I stayed in the bed for about a minute, until i finally turn around and i switch locations to a place tat can not recall. I was so dearly frightened by the monster that i had faced a few minutes earlier. I didn't know what to do so I had the instinct to go to my mother, because I wanted somebody to care for me while I was in danger. The from the back of my ear i heard,"I'll find her first". I was in a moment of panic to  find my mother. I ran as fast as I could, but seemed to go nowhere. I turn and I'm back to where i live near my bed. I hear my mother say in Spanish, "Come help me with the dishes." I went thinking that I was awake, done with he nightmare, but then the room turned black. My mother was not present but the monster was in place with me in the room. I was bursting in tears from fear and I just remember the room shifting into a park. I was on the floor just drenched in tears from not being able to find my mother, just then I had given up, knowing that i will not find her. The world started to shake and i woke up. My mother told me to get up and get ready for school, but when i woke up i just hugged my mom as hard as i could, in tears from the dream i had just experienced. She told me, "What wrong?". I just replied, "I'm scared of losing you."

Compassionate Science

Speaking for myself, am not pursuing a career in science or mathematics, at most a micro biologist, but being  a compassionate scientist can change the world. People have the choice of choosing this to fix problems in the world, but not all choose to go down that path, leaving others having to live life as a drag. If I had an opportunity to change people's lives for the greater good, I would take on the challenge if it is possible to do so. Being able to fix a person's injuries through science is major breakthrough, but do we all have the time to do it. Not all scientist are committed to do this for other people, and that is why those who do, stand out from the rest. Myself, would probably look at the problems of the world, and not probably worry about it because it is out of my reach to change or impact the events and the people it has affected. Mike Ebeling, is one out of a million to chose to be greater than those around his, he is a compassionate scientist.

The Future

In the near future, in about a century, the future, I imagine a new form of transportation in the world. Instead of having to go to an airport, there is going to be a teleportation device. There is going to be a thing that can change your genetic code giving the simple human super abilities such as telekinesis, and being able to snap your fingers and have fire in your hand. The powers will make life even easier than it is today. Being able to do things that are not nature to the human body will be possible to te human, such as being able to communicate fully with animals and being able to have the power to control electricity with your hand. This change will impact society by giving them a way for self defense and to use during their leisure time. Being able to control wind and other elements and to make the human body superior, being able to run faster and live longer. The future will change in technology, but my idea will be of the changing to human D.N.A.

Laughter (Basketball)

I was in middle school at the time. It was a Friday and we decided to go a friends house. We stayed and played video games and ate pizza. We decided to go to the park because the park has a course of basketball courts. We played ball and ended up on a two on two. We started playing and then my friends shoe was already pretty worn out. Halfway through the game, the rubber soles to his shoes had ripped. He said, "F*** this, I'll play without my shoes!" He took of his shoes and ended up playing in his socks. He was going for a crossover and slipped on the ground, slamming hard against the floor. He got up in pain and laughter because of the stupid decision that he had made a few seconds earlier. When he fell I couldn't stop laughing because he fell so hard and just made my day with his accident. He showed us his feet and his socks had ripped and his feet were dirty.

Modern Times

Modern Times, starring Charlie Chaplin is a comedy film releases in 1936. The movie has its successes in making a person laugh at the character, the little tramp, and bring heart warming thought to the life of the little tramp on his search for true happiness. The film in my opinion does not have any faults to the directing or the story line to the screening. The little tramp can be compared to man today on his search for the concept that causes him joy to his life such as having a simple home with food on the table and fresh fruit to eat. The motion picture depicts the modern era with the unhappiness that is produced by unemployment and hunger, showing that people will do anything to have food in their stomachs and a place to call home. Modern Times is a classic to movie cinema and will not be missed

My Thoughts on Bullying

Bullying is not taboo topic in L.A.U.S.D. People everyday are getting bullied, but in my experience, I haven't really seen anybody get bullied or really been a part of it. In my experience, i usually playfully tease and my friends playfully tease back, and may be harsh but I don't think it's bad. I have not witnessed any bullying going on at school or seen anybody being bullied, but if I see bullying going on, i would ry to stop it if I can. I don't think I have been bullied, but I have been teased by friends. Kids who are getting bullied should not rely on anybody else to come to their aid. Those kids should actually do something about it because if they don't stand up for themselves, and somebody else does for them, the situation could get worse and reflect a negative image of being weak and timid. If I were actually bullied I would stand up for myself because I would not take it.

Forrest Gump

Well, my all time favorite movie would have to be the movie, Forrest Gump. The movie is important to me because of the lessons it gives out to the audience. The movie has a group of event that has actually had happened in real life history, such as the Watergate Scandal, Gump being in Vietnam, meeting musician John Lennon. These events are put in a humorous way giving me joy and happiness when i watch the film. A man who does not have the full capabilities as a grown adult male is more successful than many others who are more intelligent than this man. This shows me that even the man who is not like the others can still succeed. The movie touches the emotions of the human spirit when he attempts to find and achieve love. The man is one in a million when it comes to being a person in a group, through times of segregation and war, he achieves more than the average man does. The lesson of the story is, "Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what your gonna get." Life is not predictable, and many heart warming and heartbreaking event will occur
